Summer School Trips Highlights 2026

One of the highlights of Summer School is the opportunity for students to explore some of England's most famous cities, landmarks and attractions. This summer, students enjoyed an exciting programme of educational and cultural excursions, creating unforgettable memories while discovering the rich history and heritage of the UK.

Discovering London from the Water
A trip to London is always a favourite with our students. This year, they experienced the capital from a unique perspective with a relaxing river cruise along the River Thames. As they sailed through the heart of the city, students took in some of London's most iconic sights, including the London Eye, Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament. It was a fantastic way to see the capital while learning more about its history and significance.

A Wonderful Day in Cambridge
Students enjoyed a perfect summer day in the beautiful city of Cambridge. The visit included a traditional punting trip along the River Cam, offering spectacular views of the city's historic colleges and picturesque surroundings. They also had time to explore Cambridge's shops and discover centuries of history on a guided walking tour. Filled with laughter, new experiences and plenty of sunshine, it was a day to remember.

Exploring Historic Oxford
Another memorable excursion took students to the world-famous city of Oxford. From exploring the fascinating history of Oxford Castle to wandering through the city's charming streets, students had the chance to discover what makes Oxford such a special place. A guided walking tour provided insight into the city's rich academic heritage, while some free time for shopping allowed everyone to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Stepping into the Wizarding World

For Harry Potter fans, a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour was a truly magical experience. Students explored authentic film sets, discovered the secrets behind the filmmaking process and learned how some of the most memorable scenes were created. The day was completed with lunch at Pizza Express, giving everyone the chance to relax and share their favourite moments from the tour.

A Trip to the British Museum

Our students also enjoyed a day filled with culture and discovery in central London. The excursion included a visit to the British Museum, where they explored treasures from around the world and gained insight into different cultures and civilisations. Afterwards, they took in some of London's famous sights before enjoying the afternoon shopping on Oxford Street.

Westminster and Royal Traditions

Another London adventure gave students the opportunity to experience some of Britain's most famous traditions. During a guided walking tour of Westminster, they visited key landmarks and learned about the city's political and royal history. The trip also included a visit to the National Gallery and the chance to witness the spectacular Changing of the Guard ceremony, a memorable experience for students.

Journey Back in Time at Warwick Castle

History came to life during our visit to Warwick Castle. Students stepped back into medieval England, exploring one of the country's most impressive historic fortresses. The day was filled with adventure, discovery and fascinating stories from the past, providing an exciting insight into life during medieval times.
Our Summer School excursions offer much more than sightseeing. They provide opportunities for students to practise their English, experience British culture firsthand, build friendships and develop confidence in new environments.
